Christmas in the Village

The second-annual Christmas in the Village was held Dec. 7, 2013. Activities included gingerbread decorating, creating evergreen swags and pinecone bird feeders, creation of paper chains and popcorn strings at the Victoria Schoolhouse, children’s Christmas crafts at the Library with caroling, settler’s Christmas at the log cabin of the Ameliasburgh Museum with hot apple cider, storytelling at the Masonic Lodge with a display of antique and unusual tools, and horse-drawn wagon rides to transport people between events.

This wonderful afternoon was made possible by the Ameliasburgh Garden Club, the Prince Edward Public Library, the Ameliasburgh Museum, Quinte Educational Museum and Archives (QEMA), the Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star of Ameliasburgh, the Prince Edward Auto Club, the Carter family for the horse-and-wagon rides, and the Ameliasburgh Town Hall Working Group.
