Beaches, Parks, and Trails

Roblin Lake Park is perhaps best known as the home of a sell-used ball diamond. Lob ball, 3-pitch and fastball games occur at the lighted diamond almost every night of the week. The Park also includes a children’s playground, a boat launch, and a small sandy beach. The Park is also the venue for Canada Day celebrations and for the annual Ameliasburgh Fall Fair.
Roblin’s Lake itself is an anomaly, whose continued existence can only be explained by the impermeable nature of the rock on which it sits, or else the water would quickly drain away. The lake is used by local residents and cottagers for swimming, boating, fishing and other water-oriented recreational activities. A 1960 survey found eight species of fish plus eels present in the lake.
