Ameliasburgh Fall Fair
Fall fairs were commonplace in rural Ontario in the 1900’s, and Ameliasburgh was no exception. Eventually the Fair ceased to operate, but in 1982 the Ameliasburgh Fall Fair was reintroduced, and has been going strong since. The livestock show and the horse show are major components of the Fair, which also features exhibits of flowers, vegetables, woodworking, homecrafts, art and photography and school exhibits. And of course, the Fair is kicked off with a parade along the main street of Ameliasburgh and into the fairgrounds. Musical entertainment is offered on the main bandstand throughout the Fair.
